Blown turbo sparks Telford car fire

A car caught fire in Telford after a blown turbo charger ignited grass beneath the vehicle.

A fire crew from Wellington put out the car fire

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said the car caught fire around 3.15pm on Wednesday at Trench Lock Interchange.

The fire service despatched a crew from Wellington who extinguished the blaze.

A spokesperson said: "The car fire involved a blown turbo which ignited grass underneath the vehicle. The vehicle has been made safe using a hosereel jet."
