Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to the Stirchley skate park in Telford at around 3.40pm on Tuesday after a reports of a fire in the open.

A spokesperson for the fire service said the fire involved a fallen tree and crew from Telford Central had extinguished the blaze.

In an update posted to Twitter on Wednesday, SFRS said the blaze was now being treated as "deliberate".
