Mohsin Salim, aged 24, and Liam MacKenzie, 20, were due to be sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday, but the decision has been put off until next month.

Recorder Anthony Lowe adjourned the hearing until January 19 after being told that probation reports on MacKenzie had yet to be prepared.

At an earlier hearing the defendants were convicted of being in possession of quantities of cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply in May last year. In addition MacKenzie admitted failing to provide an identification code for an iPhone as required during a police investigation.

At court yesterday Recorder Lowe made a confiscation order in the sum of £390 against Salim under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Mr Robert Edwards, prosecuting, said that the benefit to Salim from drug dealing was said to be £3,300.

However, Mr Edwards said that Salim has no assets other than £390 in cash recovered from a car by police on May 6 last year.

An application for a confiscation order against MacKenzie will be considered at a later date.

Both Salim, of Crescent Road, Hadley, and MacKenzie, of Dove Close, Hadley, were allowed bail.
