Ludlow Touring Park, situated near the beautiful Marches market town of Ludlow, collected three accolades in the Loo of the Year Awards 2020.

The high quality park, owned by Shrewsbury-based Morris Leisure, won the Loo of the Year Award for Holiday Parks in England and received a platinum grading.

The park’s cleaning staff also won a Washroom Cleaner of the Year Award for “providing a high level of commitment to a vital public service”.

Park managers Paul and Tracy Barrett said they were “absolutely over the moon” when they were informed about the two awards and platinum grading.

“We are so proud to have won the Loo of the Year Award for Holiday Parks in England, particularly in these difficult times,” added Paul.

“Keeping the facilities in pristine condition for our customers has been a labour of love and we have rewarded for our hard work. The awards have lifted everybody.”

A team of five – Paul and Tracy, Karen Antill and Christine and Philip Spiers – is responsible to keeping the loos and washing facilities in the best condition possible, which has been top priority during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since their introduction in 1987, the Loo of the Year Awards competition has recognised and rewarded the very best washrooms throughout the UK and Ireland.

Any type of non-residential ‘away from home’ washroom can be nominated and entered in the awards in 61 separate categories covering 15 market sectors.

All entries receive a grading – bronze, silver, gold, platinum or diamond – following an unannounced visit by an inspector.
