Lost in 'trams-lation' - the mystery behind strange sign in rural Shropshire is solved
A tram symbol on a road sign has had drivers and cyclists in rural Shropshire scratching their heads.
But now, thanks to a Shropshire Star reader, we have solved the mystery of why there is a symbol of a white tram and a bicycle on a blue background at Longden Road near Annscroft south of Shrewsbury.
The council has held its hands up and admitted that something was lost in 'trams-lation' when a new sign was ordered a couple of years ago. It was a good, old fashioned administrative foul-up!
