Fire blamed on cooking left in kitchen of Shrewsbury home
Unattended cooking has been blamed for a fire at a property near Shrewsbury.
Two crews from the town were called to the premises, in Overdale Road, Bayston Hill, following a report of an incident at a domestic address at about 9.20pm on Monday.
Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said one of its operations officers was in attendance and that the firefighters used breathing gear and water to tackle the incident.
They left the scene a short time later at 9.39pm.
