Pride Hill Shopping Centre in Shrewsbury evacuated after reports of fire
A shopping centre in Shrewsbury was evacuated on Thursday after fire alarms were activated.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue said three appliances were sent to the Pride Hill Shopping Centre after getting reports of a fire in the basement.
The centre was evacuated at about 2.30pm and dozens of staff and shoppers were forced to wait on Pride Hill until the all clear was given.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to investigate.
