SpaDental in Whitchurch is offering additional, free appointments for children – around 60 each week – with check-ups still available for this week.

It comes amidst a petition by the MP to improve access to NHS dental care in rural areas like Shropshire, having raised the lack of provision in rural areas with the Secretary of State for Health.

Helen Morgan MP said: “Access to NHS dental care in North Shropshire is not as good as it should be, so it is great to see some of our local practices taking initiatives and offering extra NHS spots for children.

“I would really urge residents in and around Whitchurch whose children are in need of a check-up to take SpaDental up on their offer.

“There is still valuable clinical time on Thursday and Saturday which can be accessed, and extra NHS appointments over the next few weeks too.”

Christopher Hilling, managing director of SpaDental, added: “SpaDental Whitchurch is keen to get their message to parents. We have increased appointments on Thursday 26 and Saturday 28 for children under 18 to receive NHS funded dental care.

“We have about 60 new appointments for children a week, starting this week. It’s a great opportunity so we urge parents to get in touch via our website: spadental.co.uk/contact as soon as possible.”
