Designed for beginners or those looking to start on a new exercise journey, aspirations @ home is a free fitness programme that residents can tackle in the comfort of their own homes.

Qualified fitness instructors will take people through low impact sessions designed for beginners and including Pilates, yoga, beginner combat, aerobics and seated exercises.

aspirations @ home is part of TW Leisure services and is being brought to computer and TV screens across the borough in partnership with Let’s Get Telford Active and Ricoh Products Limited.

Councillor Eileen Callear, Telford & Wrekin’s cabinet member for leisure, culture and visitor economy said: “We wanted to ensure local residents have the option to get active, even if they are stuck at home under the current coronavirus lockdown conditions.

“We would like to thank our partners at Let’s Get Telford Active and Ricoh Products Limited for their support in launching this new venture, which aims to be both fun and effective in helping residents begin their journey to better fitness and a more active lifestyle."

aspirations @ home aims to provide residents with a form of physical activity that people can do at home as, after 12 months of Covid lockdowns, people may not feel ready to take part in physical activity as part of a group.

By providing a small range of home workouts they can either begin to get active or keep up their levels of fitness.
