Another Covid death confirmed
Another Covid death has been confirmed at the county's major hospital trust.
NHS England figures show that the patient has died at Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH).
It means 558 people have now died with coronavirus at the county's major NHS Trusts – 517 at SaTH, 34 at Shropshire Community Health Trust, and seven at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures show 278 people have died in county care homes with the virus – 205 in Shropshire and 73 in Telford & Wrekin.
The ONS figures also show that 224 people have now died with Covid in Powys.
