Three more Shropshire Covid deaths confirmed

Another three people have died with Covid at Shropshire hospitals.

NHS England confirmed that three patients died at Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH).

It means 553 people have died with coronavirus at county NHS trusts – 512 at SaTH, 34 at the community health trust, and seven at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that the number of people to have died in county care homes with Covid had reached 278.

In Powys 224 people have died with Covid since the pandemic began, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Across the UK another 345 people have died from Covid, bringing the total so far to 122,415.
