Four more coronavirus patients die at Shropshire's hospitals
Another four coronavirus patients have died at Shropshire's hospitals.
NHS England confirmed today that they had all died in the care of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH), which runs Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Telford Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
It means that 527 people have now died with Covid-19 at county NHS trusts since the pandemic began – 491 at SaTH, 30 at Shropshire Community Health Trust and six at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
A further 268 people have died in the county’s care homes.
A total of 201 people have also died with the virus in Powys, according to the Office for National Statistics.
