A man was taken to hospital after a collision between a van and a car near Market Drayton today.
Market Drayton fire fighters, together with colleagues from Loggerheads, helped to rescue the man after the accident on the A53 outside Cold Hall.
The man was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital at about 1.35pm.
Jamie Arrowsmith, communications officer at West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to the junction of Newcastle Road and the A53 at 1.35pm to reports of a two vehicle RTC.
"We had one ambulance on scene who confirmed a vehicle had rolled and they transported one patient to Royal Stoke University Hospital."
A spokesman from Market Drayton Fire Station said: ""A significant collision had taken place between a Transit van and a saloon car.
"A male casualty was not physically trapped, but due to the nature of the injuries they had received, required extrication from the car by means of a full roof removal.
"Market Drayton personnel worked closely with colleagues from Loggerheads (Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service) and paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance service to carry out the successful extrication.
