Woman airlifted after Shrewsbury horse fall

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after falling from her horse in Shrewsbury.

Ambulance services were called to the scene in Bayston Hill at around 3.35pm yesterday and found a woman who was suffering with back and pelvic pain after falling from the animal.

An ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "The woman was immobilised and given pain relief before being airlifted to University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further assessment and treatment."
