Arrests after teenager attacked near Ludlow supermarket
A teenager was airlifted to hospital suffering from serious head injuries after being attacked near the entrance to a supermarket in Ludlow.
The victim, who has not been named, was found semi-conscious near Tesco and flown to the trauma unit at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
Police arrested two men on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after the incident on Monday night.
West Mercia Police spokeswoman Sarah Buxton said: "Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a teenage boy was assaulted on Portcullis Lane, Ludlow, at around 7pm.
"The 16-year-old was taken to hospital with a serious head injury where his condition is not thought to be life threatening."
