Motorist driving at high speed on A41 handed points and big court bill

A BMW driver caught speeding at more than 90mph along the A41 must pay nearly a £1,000 in court fine and costs.

Steven Pugh was clocked by a police officer driving a BMW 3 Series at 92mph at Hinstock at 5.23pm on May 15. The speed limit for that stretch of road is 60mph.

The 48-year-old admitted his guilt when his case was dealt with as a single justice procedure - where evidence is presented in writing and the hearing held behind closed doors - at Worcester Justice Centre on October 13.
