Worcester Justice Centre was told how PC Christopher Young was informed of a green Kawasaki motorbike being ridden at excessive speed along the A41 between Hinstock and Tern Hill while out on May 25.

That bike was being ridden by Matthew Everington, who turned onto the A53 towards Market Drayton when he reached the Tern Hill roundabout.

In a statement given to the court, PC Young said: "I made to follow and observed this motorcycle immediately accelerate hard and begin to overtake all vehicles on this road. I followed this motorcycle and noted that the speed was far in excess of the national limit of 60mph and I chose to conduct a following speed check.

"I maintained a steady distance behind the green Kawasaki and I notice the police vehicle speed as 95mph."
