Police helicopter in Shrewsbury as vehicle ends up in River Severn
Two people have been arrested after a vehicle went into the River Severn in Shrewsbury.
West Mercia Police said the crash happened at about 2am on Tuesday but the force has not disclosed any further details.
A police helicopter was deployed and circled the Quarry yesterday afternoon as part of the investigations.
A spokeswoman said: "Two people have been arrested and are in police custody.
"As part of our enquiries a search of the local area was carried out earlier today."
