It is the second year running that The Huntsman of Little Wenlock has won the accolade.

The pub, which is owned and run by the Morris family, has also previously won a Shropshire Star Spotlight Award.

It comes after owner Peter Morris was told the pub has also been included in this year's CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Good Beer Guide.

He said: "We are very proud. "We're a family owned and operated business. "It's down to having a good team.

"The team are exceptional and most of the staff have been with us a long time, some since the day we started."

Staff have been given a certificate and engraved plaque, which is now on display at the pub.

The Morris family bought the pub in 2010 after it had closed down the year before.

It was then given a massive refurb.

Peter said: "It was a new thing for us. If we hadn't taken it over it would probably have been demolished.

"It's gone from strength to strength and is very popular."

The pub was also announced as a runner-up in the Great British Pub Awards in 2012.
