Danny Alderman, now of Stafford Street, had accumulated thousands images and movies, including more than 545 of the most serious Category A files, on five devices accumulated over a ten-year period while he lived with his mother's address in Loggerheads, a court heard on Thursday.

The 38-year-old's stash of perverted images was found following information received by West Mercia Police from Staffordshire Police, who passed on Alderman's IP address (Internet Protocol) after finding the illgeal images on a file sharing website.

However, Mr Simon Parry prosecuting, told Shrewsbury Crown Court, that when police arrived at his mother's address in April 2020, they discovered Alderman had moved.

He said: “Police had confirmed the indecent images had been made available on a peer-to-peer sharing site called Bit Torrent. The IP address took police to Loggerheads where there was an unsuccessful warrant, but they confirmed the suspect was indeed Danny Alderman.”
