Food festival gets taste buds tingling at Weston Park
Chef demonstrations, foodie talks and live music are entertaining crowds of people at a food festival.
The Great British Food Festival set up on Weston Park, on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border, on Saturday and the event was continuing today.
The popular festival, which has moved from its previous home at Shugborough near Stafford, has food and drink producers, bouncy castles and rides.
Children have had the opportunity to learn new cookery skills in diddy cook classes.
Bakers were also invited to take part in a cake-off and the festival has included Men v Food challenges.
There have been different contests each day – Men Vs Meat, then Men Vs Heat and Pairs Vs Treat.
The meat challenge gives contestants six minutes to each as much sausage as they can.
Once they have eaten all they can they have to down a pint of cider within the time limit, otherwise their entry does not count.
Today's chef demonstrations are due to be presented by Richard Fletcher from The Pheasant, Admaston, Great British Bake Off star Luis Troyano, Suree Coates from The King and Thai, Broseley, and Steve Lyons from All About the Food, West Midlands.
