Ren and Holly Butler, from Market Drayton, are having their hair shaved to help fund potentially life-saving treatment for their aunt, Janet Colgan, who has stomach cancer.

The 55-year-old, given 12 months to live after being diagnosed with cancer in September, needs £150,000 for immunotherapy not currently available on the NHS.

The fundraiser, which will take place on May 27 at the Francesco Group in Market Drayton, will help pay for their aunt, who lives in Blackpool, to have treatment in Germany.

Ren, 21, said: "My sister and I are are doing a sponsored hair shave to raise money for the Save Janet charity.

"We will be having all of our hair off. I am not too fussed about having it off as it will soon grow back.

"But Holly is a bit more nervous as she has got to attend a wedding 10 days later.

"This cause is very dear to us as it aims to raise money to help fund the treatment of our aunt's stage four terminal stomach cancer.

"We went to see her a month ago and she was all very positive about it.

"Me and Holly hope to raise about £1,000 ourselves. The treatment has a 95 per cent success rate but my aunt said if it doesn't work she will donate the money raised for cancer and other people's treatment."
