Man admits attack at Church Stretton train station

A Church Stretton man has admitted an attack that took place at the town's railway station.

Victor Tunnicliffe, 26, of Watling Street North, Church Stretton, admitted the unlawful wounding of Tony Butcher at Church Stretton Railway Station in an incident on August 29.

At Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday Judge Peter Barrie ordered a charge of possessing an offensive weapon – a multi tool – to lie on the file.

He adjourned the case until the week of February 23 for the preparation of reports.
