Air ambulance called to Telford over seriously ill child

The air ambulance landed in Telford to airlift a child to hospital for medical reasons.

Police and ambulance workers plus the air ambulance were called to an address in Clips Moor, Lawley, at about 6pm on Saturday and the youngster was believed to have been taken to the Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Detective Inspector Jim Bayliss, from West Mercia Police, said: "A child has been taken to hospital in a very serious condition."
