Police have issued a picture of a 36-year-old Shrewsbury man wanted for breaching a series of court sentences.

Lee Stanton has remained at large since warrants were issued for his arrest by Shrewsbury magistrates more than four weeks ago on May 23.

Stanton, of no fixed abode, is wanted after he failed to comply with the conditions of three separate supervision orders imposed on three occasions during 2011 for shoplifting, drug and failing to surrender offences.

Detective Sergeant Chris Hughes, of West Mercia Police, said today: "We are actively searching for Mr Stanton and urge him to give himself up.

"He is aware we are seeking him and has previously indicated he intends to surrender to a police station, but has failed to do so."

Mr Hughes urged him to attend Shrewsbury police station without further delay.

"We would also appeal to anyone else who has had recent contact with Mr Stanton, or knows of his current whereabouts, to call the police station on 101," he added.

Stanton, who uses the nicknames of Nick or Speedy, was last seen in Shrewsbury seven days ago. He was also seen at the weekend in Cannock, Staffordshire.

Officers believe he has been staying at various locations and recently is known to have been travelling by rail to Church Stretton and Ludlow.

He has a shaven head with a tattoo on the right side of his neck, is 5ft 9ins tall and of athletic build.

Information can also be given to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 for which a reward may be paid.
