Roads in Ludlow shut for May Fair
Roads in Ludlow have been closed to make way for the town's May Fair.
Roads in Ludlow have been closed to make way for the town's May Fair.
Road closures were put in place at 6pm last night to allow for fair rides to be set up in the town centre,
The fair will run from tonight until Monday and will see hundreds of people take to the streets to enjoy the fairground fun. The roads will re-open on Tuesday at noon.
The event has been staged since the 1970s and an annual church service will be held on the dodgems on Sunday.
Gina Wilding, deputy clerk of Ludlow Town Council, said: "The road closures came into force last night so the fair could be set up and the town clerk Veronica Calderbank and event organisers were in the town during the evening making final preparations."
