Just two families have stepped forward to check the records of their relatives buried at Ludlow's cemetery are up to date – sparking fresh calls for more people to get in touch.

Ludlow Town Council has received five inquiries about people buried at the Henley Road cemetery – despite claiming there are up to 20 people buried who are unaccounted for in official documentation.

Only two people have been successfully identified, although official paperwork has still not been found for either of them.

Veronica Calderbank, town clerk, said: "We have had surprisingly little response. We have had five inquiries and have made progress with two of the people buried at the cemetery."
