Hundreds of Shropshire people gave it some welly to raise £17,000 for charity when Market Drayton-based Robert Wiseman Dairies teamed up with Severn Hospice to organise the first ever Wiseman Welly Walk.
About 500 people took part in yesterday's event, with all entry fees and sponsorship going to the charity to help it continue its work in Shropshire and Mid Wales.
The event attracted 50 teams, families and dogs from across the county who completed either a 1.5km ramble suitable for all the family or a 6.8km adventure walk which explored the features of Hawkstone Park.
Bosses at the venue waived their normal entry fees for the participants, who enjoyed a barbecue and entertainmentafter the walk.
Andy Evans, site manager at the Robert Wiseman Dairies, said "The response from the people of Shropshire to the Wiseman Welly Walk has been tremendous."
He added: "Severn Hospice is a cause close to the hearts of all our staff, so to see 500 people taking part and enjoying the day and at the same time raising £17,000 to help the hospice continue its valuable work is overwhelming."
