Paramedics also treated an 18-year-old woman from the second car but she left the scene with her father.

Mr MacGregor said crews worked with firefighters to free the 19-year-old while treating her for a serious leg injury. The 16-year-old had got out of the vehicle before crews arrived. "She had suffered serious but not life threatening injuries to her chest, abdomen and back," said Mr MacGregor.
In a second road collision yesterday a motorcyclist in his 40s was airlifted to hospital after apparently crashing into a road sign near Market Drayton, suffering suspected chest, abdominal and internal injuries.
Ambulance crews were called to Mucklestone just before 1.35pm yesterday.
Suzie Fothergill, West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman, said: "Crews found a motorcyclist who had come off his bike after he had reportedly been in collision with a road sign.
"The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was treated at the scene for potential chest, ab- dominal and internal inju- ries. The casualty was given pain relief at the scene and immobilised before being airlifted to University Hospital of North Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent."
