Thousands in county seeking illicit affairs
The largest website in Britain aimed at introducing married people looking to have affairs today revealed that more than 2,500 people in Shropshire were actively seeking an extra-marital relationship.

Bosses at illicitencounters.com today announced it was their busiest January to date.
The move comes as a leading marriage guidance counsellor today warned that new technology was making it easier for people to have affairs rather than address problems in their marriage.
Paula Hall, sexual and relationship psychotherapist and counsellor for Relate, said the concern with websites such as illiciten counters.com was that they made it easier for people to have affairs. "The growth of new technology in terms of communication together with how much easier it is to travel has seen a sharp rise in the number of people having affairs," she added.
"The concern with sites such as these is that they do make it easier and do provide a distraction for people who otherwise may address the problems in their marriage instead."
Spokeswoman for illicitencounters.com Rosie Freeman-Jones said Shropshire was 19th in the counties with the highest density of members.
