Police are appealing for information about a missing girl who is believed to be in Telford.

Kayleigh Pugh, aged 15, lives in Hadley and was taken to her ice skating lesson at Telford ice rink yesterday by her family.

But the lesson was cancelled and the teenager, who has learning difficulties, told a friend she was going into Telford Town Centre. She has not been since and has not been in touch with any family or friends.

Police are concerned for Kayleigh's welfare and are appealing to anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.

A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "A family member dropped Kayleigh off at the ice rink at about 12.10pm in time for her ice skating lesson, which was due to start at 12.30.

"She has a small amount of cash with her, but we believe that may have run out.

"We are extremely concerned for Kayleigh's welfare and would appeal to anyone with any information on her whereabouts to come forward.

"We believe she will still be in the Telford area."

Kayleigh is described as 5ft 1ins tall and of stocky build. She has straight brown hair that she tends to wear in a ponytail to the side of her head. She wears two necklaces, one with a heart.

She was last seen wearing a green and black checked bomber style jacket, jeans and leather boots.

Anyone with information about Kayleigh¹s whereabouts should contact police on 0300 333 3000.
