I don't know, but I can put forward the name of a man who seems adept at getting the best of both worlds. Take a bow Mike Harris, managing director of Welsh (or should that be English?) football club The New Saints.

They're so new they haven't yet decided upon their nationality. If a club such as Bishop's Castle can't play in Wales, why should a Welsh team get the benefits of playing in England - such as nearly half a million pounds of grant from the FA which is meant only for English teams?

Welsh Premier League secretary John Deakin concedes that he cannot dispute that fans of real Welsh clubs may perceive there is an anomaly.

Come on Mr. Deakin, stand up for the people you represent - the Welsh - and let those who take money from the other side of the border compete in their competitions. Or perhaps you can arrange for all Welsh football clubs to benefit from English generosity?
