Fireworks spectacle a let-down

I would just like to inform you of the shambles you have been promoting - the Weston Park Fireworks Spectacular.

I would just like to inform you of the shambles you have been promoting - the Weston Park Fireworks Spectacular.

A large group of my family went along with seven children, aged two to 10.

We queued to get in then had to walk a considerable distance. There were no signs for the firework display and we were greeted by funfair rides at high rates, even for the little ones' rides.

I know the fog could not be helped but the 6pm fireworks lasted eight minutes and the area was fenced off with barbed wire. I feel conned; being enticed by the promise of two displays for £14 with the only intention being to fleece us further for funfair rides.

I hope that members of your team will confirm this to you and perhaps you should paint the true experience before endorsing such events. Even leaving the event was dangerous and frightening - there was no lighting or way out signs.

I did not stay for the 8pm display but even if the fireworks were better this would have been outweighed by the number of youths in a small area, many drinking beer.

We are not killjoys just a young Shropshire family who wanted to enjoy Bonfire Night.
