Grammar education question

Given that there are two grammar schools is his constituency, I wonder what MP Mark Pritchard's position is on the provision of new and existing grammar school education in The Wrekin?

If the Tories won the next General Election would more grammar schools be built?

Does Mr Pritchard agree with Shadow Education Minister David Willetts that the Tories "must break free from the belief that academic selection is any longer the way to transform the life chances of bright poor kids" or not?

I am surprised that although the Tory party's big approach to reform is support for localism, they have declared a prescriptive education policy from the top, then had to change it because they couldn't work out which fashionable bandwagon to stick to.

Running government involves clearly thought-through policies and not a series of tactics played out in the media.

Given the current uncertainty over Tory education policy, I would be grateful for some clarification on this issue.

Could Mr Pritchard explain what Tory policy is with regards to grammar schools in the Telford area.
