Criminals should have to pay

In your April 13 issue you had an interesting letter from Les Orin, of Shrewsbury, about "No return to hanging".

Fair enough as far as it goes, he made some valid points, mainly about wrongful convictions. But what about those bang to rights, caught on camera robbing banks and killing staff?

Those caught on CCTV in our streets stabbing and shooting and being witnessed by many, and also proved by DNA to have done the crime.

Is Mr Orin saying that none are true verdicts? They have killed, and many are let free to kill again by dogooders and people in power.

I say, if they have killed they should die in prison. If, in the meantime, they are proved not to have done the crime by forensics, further evidence or false police investigation then they have the luxury of a retrial and being let free.

No parole ever for killers, I say. If people would never have thought killers would be freed to walk our streets, I reckon a vast number would have had second thoughts.

The Government will never give us electors another chance.

After all those in power are not reluctant to approve of killing, are they?
