Personal finance cannot be considered when it comes to a planning decision. If it could then I feel we all could make a case to get planning permission granted.

The owner of Baschurch Bowling Club claims to have looked at other sites for relocating the bowling green.

As far as I am aware (and I stand to be corrected) she has only approached one landowner in the village.

An application was made for permission to build a green at Prescot, but this was refused by NSDC.

The decision was appealed against but the appeal was refused.

While she was the owner of the Boreaton Arms, she enjoyed the support in trade that the bowling club provided. Why should she deny this trade to future landlords?

Club members feel they have a duty to fight to remain on their current site, not only for their own benefit but also to support the Boreaton Arms and the neighbours who do not want it developed.

Many amenities within villages and towns have closed over recent years but I hope that Baschurch Bowling Club - after 70 years of existence - has many more years in front of it.
