Please do he right thing

At long last we have an honest man standing up and stating what the whole of the country has been wanting to hear since the uninvited invasion of Iraq in 2003. That man is General Sir Richard Dannatt, who said that our our PM and America entered a country without the backing of the UN and full support of the British people.

I wrote in this paper that you do not invade a country on the hearsay of WMD which proved negative.

The general was speaking probably for the whole world and we all express our delight that he had the guts to stand up and say what the rest of the country also believes, that our troops must pull out of Iraq.

The morale of the troops serving out there must be on a high knowing their most senior officer has made this announcement.

Tony Blair has many issues to contemplate before leaving office, but the one issue he will be remembered for is his decision to invade Iraq.

So Blair, do the one decent thing before you go, admit to us all you were wrong to take this country into a war which the majority did not want.

You held the most highest job in this country, maybe you will go down in history as the "nearly great Prime Minister".
