The market will be held in the Square on Saturday, from 9am to 6pm, and is a celebration of artisan local food, drink and craft.

Organiser Stuart Jones said: "Shrewsbury Farmers Market is held on the first Friday of the month and Made In Shropshire on the second Saturday of the month and showcases the very best of quality products that this area provides. We only invite local producers, to sustain the local economy, and these producers brave all the elements thrown at them during the year.

"The food producers are packed full of gold-award-winning producers like Maynards pork and bacon, Heathers Harvest chutneys and preserves, Bonbonniere hand made chocolates, Stokes of Ellesmere Pork Pies, Chilton Liquers Damson Gin and Raspberry Vodka, Butterbelle nut butters, Berwick Organic Longhorn beef, Shropshire Salumi charcuterie, and much, much more.

"These producers are found in Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason which gives an indication of the quality on offer.

"Novel gifts are aplenty including Catherine Jones laser cut pop up cards with carousels, rocking boats and other amazing ideas inside. Garfield Davies woodturner, Wingers silversmiths, Sarah Hill who melts gin bottles to make cheese boards and Kinki Glass from Jackfield who supply the Dorchester Hotel with their unique glass ware.

"Hot food and drink will be available with Castlemoors hog roast, Mukaase Foods African inspired curries, Indian Street Food and Appleteme mulled apple juice.

"We have a passionate dedicated group of producers who combine to make an amazing experience in the heart of our county town and we are grateful for the support we receive from both local and visiting shoppers This market has become one of the very best events in the region and gives the town centre a real boost."
