This year's Welshpool Music Festival, taking place on May 28, has a jam packed line-up at the eight venues across town.

The event being dedicated to the memory of Ian Scott, who died last year, became a firm friend of the festival having played with his band The Infamous.

The venues that will all be hosting a day of music as part of the annual festival include The Green Dragon, Pheasant, Angel, Talbot, Fabrizio’s, Bay Tree, Wellington and Pinewood.

In a statement, the organisers said: "As usual you'll find an incredible range of talent performing at several fantastic venues across our humble town throughout the day.

"Please do try and catch some of the acts performing – it's all free."

Charity donations are being taken throughout the day at the venues.
