The fitness guru, real name Derrick Evans, dislocated his knee when he landed awkwardly after performing a straddle vault during training for the forthcoming BBC celebrity gymnastics show Tumble.

The 61-year-old had to undergo surgery after the accident, in which his patellar tendon was ruptured.

Local fitness instructor Elishah Crutchley said: "Unfortunately he is unable to do his session on the night, but he will still be at the event to watch it and meet people."

Also attending the event at Wrekin College will be Telford's Paralympic gold medallist Mickey Bushell MBE. All the money raised from the September 8 event will go to help Free Hill Primary School in Jamaica.
