Liverpool will be right up there this season and Wolves really took the game to them.

Doing that at Molineux and getting the crowd up for it will be so important to Wolves and Gary O’Neil this season.

They started on the front foot and pressed everywhere. The midfield three were absolutely superb with Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes flying into tackles to set the tone, and then Jean-Ricner Bellegarde looking so dangerous.

I spoke a lot about Bellegarde in my column last week and I felt he could be the difference for Wolves. He definitely showed what he is capable of.

There were really encouraging signs from that midfield three and on top of that, the front three all played well.

Hwang Hee-chan was quieter, but as always he was in the right place at the right time to score. He is the one Wolves player that has the knack of popping up with the composure to finish. It was no surprise to see him score.
