The Ireland under-21 international played the full 90 minutes as Wolves drew 1-1 with Celtic.

As someone eager to force his way into the senior Ireland squad, Hodge says it was proud moment to feature at the national stadium.

“I loved it, it was fantastic, with all my family here,” he said. “It’s a place I’ve wanted to play football at for a long time and hopefully I’ll get a lot more games here in the future.

“I’ve dreamed of playing here and I want to play here in a green jersey soon, so to play here for the first time was a proud moment for me and hopefully everyone watching me.

“I’ve said it a few times, I want to be in the senior squad, and hopefully I can get there. It’s not easy because the squad is strong, especially in midfield with players playing at good clubs.
