The 35-year-old spent last season as captain of Hull Pirates, following a decade with Elite League sides Sheffield Steelers and Cardiff Devils.

He will arrive in Telford with 63 top-level points under his belt, as well as 107 points from various spells with EPL teams.

Tigers head coach Tom Watkins believes Tait will add crucial experience to his squad next season.

He said: "Warren has played for some of the biggest teams in the country, as well as Great Britain, so he's got a solid career behind him. He really stood out when we played Hull last season.

"You can never have enough recognised centremen in your team, and that's what Warren is. He is also versatile, so he can play on the wing, or even in defence.

"Warren is a strong skater and has a good work ethic. He will add to a strong core group.

As a team who like to enjoy a lot of puck possession, it's the centre's responsibility to ensure we start with the puck after each face off and be strong down low in the defensive zone. I think he ticks those boxes."
