Captain Karl Henry pulled no punches in his assessment of Wolves' start against Swansea after branding it "rubbish" and "an absolute joke".Injury-ravaged Wolves gave themselves an uphill battle after conceding Jordi Gomez's opener after just 25 seconds.
Henry admitted it was their worst display of the season. "We had a terrible start - it was rubbish," said the midfielder. "I don't think any of us imagined we'd be 1-0 down inside the first minute.
"It was an absolute joke. It was no way to start the game. We gave the ball away, it zipped off the surface, they broke and scored.
"We pulled it back to 1-1, but even then they were still having chances and it was a poor performance, so we're disappointed.
"Last Tuesday when we lost 3-0, I think most people would agree it was never a 3-0 game, but on Saturday we were poor and they looked like scoring more.
"It was definitely our worst performance of the season - no doubt about it.
"Individually and collectively, there were too many errors. We weren't at it, it was a bad day at the office and we were punished."
Wolves were without eight players, including their first-choice 'front four', but Henry refused to blame the defeat on the missing key men.
"We've had key players out, but with the players we had on Saturday, we've got enough to go to Swansea and get something," he said.
"We didn't pass the ball well, we couldn't get near them and defensively, there were errors all over the pitch. They limited us to half chances. It was just a dour day.
"We worked hard - everyone gave their all - but there were too many mistakes and things weren't right.
"You can cope with a couple of players making mistakes but when the majority of the team were making errors - defensively and offensively - you get punished."
