Shropshire pubs staying open late to show England v Mexico at the World Cup - where to watch 1am kickoff
Here are some of the venues which are set to show the big match from Mexico City in the early hours of Monday
Pubs across Shropshire are gearing up for a bumper night - and early morning - of booming business as England fans prepare for the big game against Mexico.
The UK Government has now confirmed that boozers will be able to stay open until 5am on Monday (July 6).
With’s England match at the famous Azteca Stadium in Mexico City kicking off at 1am UK time, that should be plenty of time even allowing for the possibility of the game going to penalties and any delays caused by bad weather.
The move has removed any red tape for venues having to go through an application process for a special temporary licence and will enable fans to come together easily to watch the round-of-16 clash.
Here is a list of those venues we know are showing the big game.
In Shrewsbury, fans can gather at The Boathouse Inn in New Street, Hole in the Wall in Shoplatch and The Hop & Friar in St Julian's Friars, off Wyle Cop.
In Telford and east Shropshire, there are a whole host of venues to choose from including The Barley Mow, Court Street in Madeley; The Queens Head in Dawley's King Street; Next Door Bar, Station Street in Albrighton; and The Winking Frog, Aston Street in Shifnal.
The Railway Inn, in Wellington's Mill Bank, is also showing the game but warns there will be no entry at 11pm on Sunday.
Elsewhere in the county, Oswestry pubs The Oak Inn in Church Street and The Boars Head in Willow Street are both showing the game, as are The Old Eagles, Watergate Street in Whitchurch, and The Crown in Bridgnorth's High Street.
