A train to a major London station was delayed after the driver got locked in the toilet.

Southeastern apologised after the 10.49am service from Bromley South to Victoria ran five minutes late on Wednesday.

Using a gif from The Simpsons, the rail operator explained that the driver had become locked in the on-board toilet.

Southeastern tweeted: “SERVICE UPDATE: the 10:49 Bromley South – Victoria was late departing Bromley south due to the driver becoming locked in the on board toilet. This train 5 minutes late. Sorry for the delay caused.”
