This picture was taken at Cosford Aerospace Museum at RAF Cosford, later called the RAF Museum, Cosford, on or about January 15, 1977. The caption was: 'Civic heads from Shropshire and the West Midlands were guests of RAF Cosford for a day when they were given a conducted tour of the station's aerospace museum. They saw the museum's collection of Second World War German rockets and more conventional aircraft... Squadron Leader Peter Coombes is seen showing the party around the rocket section.'

March 1977: 'Thirteen girls from Hill Top High School, West Bromwich, today received adult St John Ambulance Brigade first aid certificates... The girls prepared for the certificates on a course at West Bromwich College of Commerce and Technology under the instruction of Mrs Christine Musgrove. They are pictured showing their certificates to Mrs Musgrove and senior master Mr Eric Holt.'

Rain drove the pancake tossers inside at Hagley for the Shrove Tuesday event, which by 1977 was a permanent feature of the Women's Institute calendar. Six WI branches competed in the race in the community centre, and it was the third success in a row for Hagley Evening WI seen here performing a victory throw outside, in jubilee year gear of red, white and blue.
