Firefighters tackle blazing dumped mattress in Wellington
Firefighters rushed to put out a blazing dumped mattress and other waste materials in Wellington.
A crew was scrambled to land off Haybridge Road at 2.47pm on Saturday to a report of rubbish on fire.
When they arrived they found a 2 sq metre fire with a discarded mattress and other waste materials ablaze.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said the crew used a hosereel jet to put it out.
It was declared over nearly 15 minutes later at 3.03pm.
