Indian AI firm opens new Telford office
Coforge 'committed to investing in communities' where it works
A tech company has taken up new office space in Telford and helped support a local education initiative.
Indian firm Coforge has opened a base in Kendal Court, part of the new Station Quarter development, from where it will offer AI and digital services.
The company has also supported young people in the Shropshire town by donating a laptop to all 12 students who took part in a summer school programme run by Telford MP Shaun Davies.
The laptops will provide a resource to support the student's education, ambitions and future, demonstrating the positive contribution businesses can make to the wider local community.

Mr Davies said: "Supporting our young people and giving them the tools they need to succeed is something I care deeply about and this generous donation will make a real difference."
The MP, who attended the official launch of the new office, also welcomed Coforge's decision to invest in the town, bringing new opportunities for employment, skills and economic growth.
Speaking following the visit, he said: "It is always fantastic to see fast-growing companies investing here in Telford.
"They bring investment, recognition and, most importantly, local employment. I cannot tell you how proud it makes me to see businesses like Coforge choosing to make Telford their home.
"Every employer, entrepreneur and organisation that invests in our town plays a part in putting Telford on the map.
"I am looking forward to working with the wider Coforge Telford team as they continue to grow and become an important part of our local business community.
"I am incredibly proud to see innovative companies recognising what our town has to offer and I look forward to seeing the opportunities this investment creates for local people."

Coforge vice-president Mark Robinson added: "I was proud to support Shaun's summer school initiative and to contribute laptops that will help empower young people as they learn, grow and explore new opportunities.
"Meeting the students was truly inspiring.
"Their enthusiasm, thoughtful questions and level of engagement highlighted the incredible potential within the group and it will be exciting to see what they achieve both during the programme and beyond.
"We are committed to investing in the communities where we live and work so it was a privilege to support this initiative."
