Police update on shocking village crash where car ended up in house near Oswestry
The only person hurt in the incident was the driver
Police have issued a fresh update on their investigation into an incident where a car ploughed into a village house.
Saturday evening saw the emergency services scrambled to Canal View in Chirk Bank after a car crashed through the window of a property and ended up upside down in the living room.

Incredibly no one living in the house was injured, although the driver of the Seat was taken to hospital with what were described as “potentially serious injuries”.
North Wales Police subsequently confirmed the vehicle involved in the crash had been pursued by officers after failing to stop.
The force has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Complaints over the incident.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested by police initially, but the force has provided a fresh update on the status of the case.
A spokesman said the driver had been “de-arrested” to allow him to be treated at hospital.
They added that enquiries into the crash are “ongoing”.
Residents of the quiet village described chaotic scenes in the aftermath of the crash, with one saying it looked like “a warzone”.
